This round is done. But, there is always next round tomorrow.

IBM is way behind the other big 3 Cloud providers, and its strategy around OpenShift, while interesting, may never be successful.

Very well said by someone on the board earlier. Does IBM even have any strategy? Or did they have one in the past which was followed resulting in a successful outcome? What IBM product apart from the mainframe AS400 did IBM deliver which anyone can relate to? Watson?

Ginni/Arvind have the capability to deliver anything of significance in Cloud?

Polish your resume, start to refresh your domain knowledge and look at new job opportunities. These are we can do now. This company is doomed.

Yes take as many courses and classes as you can but please no more scrum. If you want to work for mediocre companies forever, then scrum is your ticket. Good engineers and good companies do not need agile, and all that scrummy stuff.

@NewGuy getting a scrum master cert wont save you from an RA. Nothing but kissing your manager's a– might save you. Some of the people I know that were RA'd were Band 7-8, 20-35 y.o. (of diverse backgrounds – east asian, indian, african, african american, white) with masters.

I would get your course/class, get certified and start looking for another company which will actually appreciate that you have skills. IBM does not care... they will lay you off if they need to regardless of your skills or talents.

Sorry to be so negative, but this is the reality.

I'm brand new at IBM and didn't get laid off Thursday. If I pay for a course to become a Certified Scrum Master, do you think it will help me to keep my job with the next round of RA's?

It will continue until revenue growth is a significant reality. So it may be a while unfortunately, if ever.
