To keep 90% of non-operational staff employed at SLB.
Are you kidding me? US Shale declined 67% since last year. SLB keeps NON-OP to burn reserves of cash flow. I can imagine SLB will catch up with Weatherford, delist from the stock market, and pre-bankruptcy.
Restructuring is what keeps 90% of non operational staff employed at SLB. Its how they convince people they're managing over there. What a waste of time and money. Rebranding of previous structures anyway. I bet top management spent 4 weeks debating the new name for the structure back and forth. God knows how much time was wasted naming each new unit/geography
@1ngv+155fQcZR Pretty much. 2/3 of the old management structure was eliminated. Some people were not willing to take a demotion.
@vva+155fQcZR, what will happen, if one's name was not in new organizational structure, Is that mean that part person is terminated?
New management structure supposed to be in place July 1st. Expect months/years trying to reorganize what's below that to fit the lucky few who remain into the new organization. In the meantime there will be confusion over reporting and approval lines and uncertainty over everything.
Silly me! I was under the impression that it started 6 years ago. Schlumberger is always on the ball.
The new structure got rolled out to everyone internally Wed. Org chart and everything.
