I just got notified that at 8am tomorrow I am to read a script to layoff and escort employees out the door. I suspect i will get laid off afterwards.

Not everyone is contract/union.
To the guy comment about onshore workers to India, it already happened. Tier 1 is Nokia India, tier 2 Nokia in Texas

They are being walked out. Package? Yes. Blindside? Yes. Made to feel horrible? Yes, Wondering how you’ll ever get another job ? Yes.
They will eventually replace all onshore workers with CTL India workers ... and then the middle managers who made it happen will retire early (job well done) ... shameful.
The reason a forum like this exists is due to the stealth layoffs and cuts that happen all too often, if they were transparent this place would not exist.
They have been beating on the Techs for years this way, they have moved the bar up the ladder and it appears that testers, whom they call agents now in multiple Organizations as well as National Legacy Qwest are now being a target also.
New Century, KS building closed today. Last official day for employees not relocating. We were advised this was coming last summer.
Had to drive into the office and turn in the company PC and signed my paper work but we were told 2 weeks ago this was coming and we would be done 5/22.
Well then do share locations and counts. Those of us with our necks on the chopping block would love to know. If it's real, it shouldn't be that hard to share location.

I work in the call center that supports technicians all over the US. Nobody in the field has heard a word of this. I call BS.

People my office are being walked out today, last day is tomorrow, think its the people mentioned in the email with low reviews. Volunteers go on the 19th.
