Don retiring due to low interest rates on pension lump sum and no promise from Ryan to protect its value. Why work for nothing? Also need to shrink the ELT to look in line with pending layoffs. Likely more ELT changes to come. Oh, how not being diversified s—s since 2015. Abandon ship so you get some severance before they make a change.

In his defense, DW kept COP from doing some very stupid deals (mostly pushed by EXPL). He was often the only voice of reason and common sense within the ELT.
