Will this be the opening of a huge can of worms for Noble?

@3tQD Whatever dictionary you used to define "Diversity" is definitely outdated. Please just retire at this point and make the world a better place for all people
LOL! Somebody certainly is pushing an agenda here and it's you.
When the truth is told and your argument is to attack the person that said it. That is right out of the communist playbook. You must be a paid troll pushing an agenda.
Good point, but SC wasn't the only one. When I was in college taking petroleum engineering there were maybe 3 women in my class of 100. Fast forward to today and social warriors complain there are not enough women in upper management. So companies courted and pursued women into jobs when there were plenty of better qualified males. It was just simply the numbers. Today there are more balanced classes of men and women and would expect that in time there will be a better balance of gender in upper management. But that doesn't stop the liberal social engineers from demanding change right now or it is all the company's fault. Patience is a virtue.
Don’t try and pin SC’s failings on diversity, @3lkl. She was an incompetent and narcissistic nutter who got her job by being a shameless self-promoter, same as DS and KF (both white males). Simply put, her style fit perfectly with this bunch. Suggesting gender and diversity issues played a role in her getting the job merely distracts from how bad a management team these people really are.
The truth hurts sometimes. SC was a diversity moment that cost Noble dearly. She couldn't find her a** with both hands, much less any oil and gas discoveries. At least DS had the guts to get rid of that diversity moment.
Oh brother! Go p#ss off @3tqd!
The oil industry is the kingdom of white male dominance and I say that as a white male. I too have worked in several companies and the story is always the same: dumb white guy gets into a position of authority and promotes all his good old boy buddies. Competency isn’t relevant in that club, just be one of the boys, white boys that is and you’re in. It probably benefited me, but I’ve never liked it.
PS: It's doubly sad when people like you go around self liking your own posts.
Really tired of all these race baiters. Diversity is just another word to justify reverse discrimination against white males. I have seen it my entire career in the oilfield in multiple different companies. Anyone who denies it is either disingenuous or misinformed.
I haven’t heard a peep since I was furloughed!
Nope.
So ummm anyone think the furloughed employees will get asked back this summer?
As the previous poster said, race discrimination at Noble is obvious. Just look down the hall, see much diversity? No. Similarly, look at the people who were laid off over the last few years. There was more diversity in that group, but then they were laid off. Can’t claim they were the low performers either. All the company’s successes happened when they were employed. Noble has had no successes since layoffs began several years ago. There is a correlation.
One other thing. Noble’s lack of diversity covers more than race, gender, age. There’s also a lack of diverse perspective. Management took care of that by winnowing out anyone who expressed an alternate view. Sadly, it was that diversity of ideas that led to Noble’s successes in the first place. Now Noble is nothing more than DS’s personal plaything.
Race seems obvious. There isn't much diversity in the company, especially mgmt and c-suite.
