Works council elections

I may be being paranoid or cynical. In recent comms regarding voting for an employee rep you get a choice of two candidates in your own constituency. Having read the PDF with candidates information, each pair of candidates to choose from has an election statement. One of the pairs statement is professionally written with details on their experience etc, whereas the other candidates statement is a generic message which is the same across all constituencies for one of the pair of candidates. I feel that the professionally written statement candidate could be a stooge for senior management, and the generically written statement candidates don't exist (I couldn't find any linkedin profiles for them or anything else online). Is it possible that this election is rigged? Happy to be proven wrong.

The results were published we all got the email. THe people I recognise who were on the list are definitely not company stooges. I'm not a fan of our leadership but you're see conspiracies where there are none.
Also remember this wasn't for the new Works Council just the people involved in the discussions about forming of the new works council.
