Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Who is Schlumberger's Business Analysts (who gets released)

Who is doing Slb's business finances/analysis, when figuring out who should stay or go during this so called furlough.

So this furlough was discussed back in the 1st week of April, many departments/ divisions discussing even the week of April 10th telling their people to schedule and input loadchart with their furlough days starting the week April 13th. Little did the employees know they were going to be let go.
The questions in this crisis as NAM is losing money
1) what financial gain does the company have to keep non Americans in America paying their housing, kids schooling, PIPs/bonuses.
2) why keep the newer employees in the same job title vs the older ones....not using the last in/first out - which would save in the severance payout.

Why does the company give out b—s— to employees on "furloughs" and then just layoff. Saving face?
And now the lied to employees hope Schlumberger crashes and burns and hope it goes bankrupt and never recovers.

I met an Indian at my apartment community that was brought in to be an "Inventory Manager" at SLB. I asked him specific questions regarding his job duties and he was clueless - he then admitted that he was in HR before and before that worked on a rig in Saudi Arabia. SLB imported this guy (with wife and child) while overlooking the local labor market. Why? Cause SLB could pay the Indian low wages! End the H1B process now!

Laying off Americans is cheaper than those here on work visas. Especially Veterans.

Exactly my opinion!
And why does severance paperwork say "reduction in force for period of 2014-2020"? What about all the people that were hired in 2018-2019? The hundreds of ppl hired for Midland and ND fracking? And all the support people for those new employees? Hundreds of them! Was that part of the "reduction in force" also? Or is this a ploy to get money from the federal government for assistance because they are having to furlough (terminate) so many employees now due to bad business decisions and frivolous overspending?
Or are they using it as an excuse to discriminate against older employees?
Just a couple of questions everyone needs to be asking....

It is tragic to base SLB Financial Analyst, especially for HFH. The HFH is like a refuge camp. Do you hope those people make the right decision to cut mobility? HFH is a Venezuela gang, husband and wife office. Under these circumstances, SLB will be next Enron. who has a pension plan, have to careful.
