WFT have a strong position with artificial lift, liner Hangers and Tubular Running. The rest is pretty much junk and will be closed down

My theory is that SLB is actually a shadow company owned by hostile nations and its mission is to buy once profitable companies and run them right into the ground. Smith, M-I, Cameron etc. good start. WFT May be the next company in the big blue crosshairs.

What does WFT have that SLB doesn’t? No way for this to happen.

yes, SLB with all of its $1B cash stash (half as much as HAL, 1/3rd as much as BKR), in a contracting market, in full cash-preservation mode, wanting to shed equipment and heavy assets, with a history of failed acquisitions resulting in huge writeoffs.....

  • is going to buy a 500M company

are you stupid?

Nope. If PK was calling the shots I would have believed it, he never met a lousy M&A that he didn't love. But based on his selfies all over the Hub, OLP's head appears to be on his neck rather than up his a$$

Doesn’t make sense for two losers to merge. One went bankrupt and the other will soon. Both of these are garbage companies.

b—s—. If HAL’s acquisition of BHI couldn’t get past regulators, no way does an SLB acquisition of WFT go through.

Judging by Schlumberger's less than stellar acquisition performance over the last decade and their hopeless lack of business sense, I find this highly unlikely.
