I'd rather be a redneck than a red hat!

It would be informative for a ford employee to post a copy of the weekly huddle here... you could just title it The Huddle x/xx/xx thanks.
The GRAVY is flowing.
I live in Arizona. I thought it was really GREAT to see people in MI are mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. I don't see it as redneck, I see a bunch of tired and frustrated individuals as well they should be. Your gov is good looking but light in the head area. Farley did nothing for me with his comments today...same old, same old...here is what we are going to do to be great again...I am so tired of the same BS very glad I retired early.
As predicted, these are the Huddle results.
Same Titanic, same iceberg, same huge hole in the boat. New crew , new uniforms, new name tags, same results.
I know @1dkb+14umyatg was just being funny.
But the a redneck image would be an improvement to what the rest of the country actually thinks of Michiganders. The view of Michigan it tied to the view of Detroit area. The view is an area full of Blight, Crime, Poverty, Racial Tensions, Poor Education, Contaminated city water, entitled welfare babies expecting a handout, Entitled union auto workers expecting a handout.
So redneck is a vast improvement.
I read Farleys vision in the paper. He is chasing rainbows.
We have a family plumbing business. Each of our employees drives a company van to the customer. In those vans we have an iPad mount. We track the employee location with the iPad. We communicate to the employee with the iPad. The employee takes the iPad into the customer’s and uses it to enter work done and billed. It also acts as a cash register.
All this to say we already have all the vehicle connectivity we need as a small business owner. We will not pay for any whiz bang features built into the van. Every small business owner I know feels the same way. The cost of vans and trucks has reached the outrageous state. All the while the quality has gone down and the number of costly things that can go wrong with vans and trucks have gone up.
That's because the minute you step out of Wayne (except Taylor), Oakland, Macomb, and Washtenaw it is a state filled with Red Necks. But for a little more sensitivity, the correct term is Appalachian American.
Maybe the time has come for a protest at WHQ to raise awareness of the employees concern for the direction of the company.
Please leave your guns and confederate flags at home for this please. The Lansing display was an embarrassment that was shown nationally. People think Michigan is a state filled with rednecks.
I sure hope they learned their lesson from the Explorer launch. There will be exactly zero room for error when the new F-150 launches. Botch that one and the roof starts caving in.
And the promotions continue to roll for the next couple layers. Seeing all the announcements. Freaking like an Oprah show. You get a promotion - you get a promotion. Bleeding cash and all they can do is rearrange the chairs on the Titanic while lining their pockets.
I second JFC. We are doomed with this “leadership”.
Why can’t they tell people if they are going to Layoff? It would be easy for us all to look around and rather live in fear. Instead they focus on adding more layers to the organization and then term it as REORGANIZATION! Hilarious Indeed. The most unproductive huddle today. They need to focus. First stop building that stupid Train station and buildings around. Second get all the launches in order. Third walk out of China, it makes no sense to be there since its a loss making over crowded car business area. Fourth SAVE JOBS. Fifth CHOP unnecessary created layers on the top and save money!
Can we pipe some Ritalin into the top tier's water supply? They can't seem to focus on one damn thing. One day it's scooters, the next day it's AV, the next day it's design thinking, the next day it's big data and connectivity, the next day it's Rivian, the next day it's return to 10. All the while adding more management tiers for all these pet projects. JFC, they are like a freshman in college trying to pick their major. It's no wonder why the stuff that matters (like the Explorer launch) was such a freaking disaster. Leadership's mind is so divided on what to focus on that we have truly lost the eye on the prize.
So the 18mos spent "redesigning" the exec level was for....what? Didn't get it right we see. So more new exec positions and promotions because that's what we need. More incompetent dead weight at the top that do nothing but pursue their own interests. Guess there will have to be more cuts to people that actually do the work to pay for more big paychecks at the top. Same old Ford behaviors as the company faces to the bottom.
It’s none of your business if you don’t work there anymore
Not a bit of new information just as expected. An hour of my life that I will never get back.
Quick summary please for those no longer employed there? Thanks!!
Another transformation lol.
Great huddle aye boys?
Major announcement: GSRs will not be paid in cash, however will receive a Fiesta with a DPS6 trans or a 1.0L I3 Ecosport for compensation. That is all.
@1tfw; OMG, I loved the “Red Wagon Story”, it’s a classic. Pathetic to call this guy a CEO.
Ask what the Detroit Lions record will be this year. Ask the Egg about UM. Ask the joker what movie he is in next. Any other saviors, how and the hL did you get there?
I expect a story about how he got a little red wagon when he was 8 and used it to deliver pumpkins door to door, and how his taught him the significance of the color red.
I only expect more blathering about how he has a great plan but just can’t reveal it yet.
Based on past behaviors April 30 Huddle will be more substance. I expect cuts to announced then.
