Our jobs at Follett are as good as gone, at least until the end of the year, if not longer. So what are our alternatives? With the entire economy in shambles and most schools closed until who knows how long, we are in a really bad position right now. I wish I could see a silver lining or the light at the end of a tunnel, but I'm coming up empty.

The alternative is to get you resume polished and look elsewhere. You finally have time now. I’m not sure what other answer there is.
Just put your resume out there and see what happens. Most of us will and some of us have worked our entire lives with just a few weeks off a year...if that. If you're healthy and your loved ones are healthy take that as a blessing. We get comfortable in our routine and we forget how kick a– we are. Look back and then look forward, you got this!!!
Wow, some people clearly have woken up on the wrong side of the bed today.
You're expecting actual information from a website called "The Layoff"? IDK, seems to me like it was designed for disgruntled workers to be able to express their frustrations.
Have some compassion.
Quit and look elsewhere. There are many jobs still hiring and once this subsides, thousands of openings will be available.
Your alternative is to get a hobby and get off this site. Who exactly is your audience and why do you think they care??? I come on here for actual information...not to see all this whining. You're all in the same boat...the whole world is. Get over it and go get your skills up so when the world DOES reopen, you can finally go to a company you actually like. God.
Look stay away negative Betty! Write this depressing propaganda in your journal. I'm so tired of you miserable people coming on here spreading your despair on this site. I sprinkle p–p on your heads! Just stay away.
