This isn't like waiting and worrying about regular layoffs. We all know how hard it's going to be to get a job after all of this is done and the world returns to (relative) normal. Being laid off right now is much scarier than being laid off just a couple of months ago.
And the worst part is, there is no end in sight. For as long as the crisis lasts, that's how long there is a chance we might be shown the door.
