What is Follett doing to protect those still required to work during this world wide pandemic? Approx 900 stores are still open to the public and the majority remaining are doing online orders. With stores closed it is possible to keep 6 feet distance but this virus stay in the air, therefore everyone should be wearing a mask while working. Is Follett providing mask? Or sanitizer? Or even cleaning supplies? All of those things would normally be purchased from store level, now they are not available. It is Folletts responsibility to protect their employees.
Stores were told company wide pay cuts, our letter contradicts that. Who didnt get a pay cut? Why are other companies, retail, paying employees more and we take a cut? If you cut my pay, cut my hours and let me collect. I have Bills and a family, why do I have to suffer financially if I am expected to continue to work and risk my health and my families?

If you are required to work in unsafe conditions (no face masks, no barrier between cashier and public, or really anything you feel puts you at risk) you can, as many others are, file an OSHA complaint. https://www.osha.gov/workers/file_complaint.html It might not help, but it will put the situation on the record, and may get HO attention.
At home, on unemployment and making more staying home as well.
I feel very bad for my s.m. doing my job and everyone else's, and having a pay cut. Very unfair. I would volunteer to go help but not come off unemployment.
Same here. Thanks Follett.
I am full time hourly, on unemployment. I am receiving more staying home. I just heard Follett is starting the process to bring back staff, full time staff first. Sorry folks, I am very content staying home making more and that is where I shall stay. We are not an essential business. My health and well being arent going to get compromised so I can lower my income and go do manual labor, normally dont by part time employees.
Stay healthy y'all.
Many layoffs at my site but I'm on furlough through June. After that is up in the air. Follett only cares about one thing and it ain't us!
It’s a known issue. And the family will not take a pay cut.
How about some gloves for handling returned texts. Sure we can isolate them on a shelf, but we need to get them out of the boxes. No one is setting a foot in my store until I have the proper cleaning supplies and masks. I will open the door to hand out online orders but block off the store to shoppers
I want to know who didn't get a pay cut.
The Family!
"Hold off" That is hysterical. Hold off until when? This has been going on for a month now, how much longer do we wait for the Tower to consider the safty of the employees working on the front line? We haven't been able to count on you for years to treat us right, should we hold our breath now and think someone up there has a heart? People first? b—s—.
And to think, Chicago was one of the first cities to shut down.
I want to know who didnt get a pay cut.
Call off sick. Self quarantine for two weeks. Don't enable the greedy b–tards.
No masks, no sanitizer, no cleaning products, and a pay cut. Really showing those Follett Values in action!
Supposedly "they" are looking into what they can do. Supposedly "they" will be shipping us masks soon. Some store managers have been told to hold off on buying masks because Follett is supposedly providing them soon. When? I do not know.
We've received no updates on this matter – other companies have already provided these protections to their employees. The ones who are still open only have whatever they have managed to source locally....
