Too little, too late. Schlumberger has never been ahead of the game.
WHen SLB makes an acquisition and then puts a wireline manager in charge, you know the business is on the way to destruction. Just look at the wreckage they've left behind.
Who in their right mind would buy M-I right now?
Let’s see now
The track record of SLB in making huge acquisitions....mmmm
$5 billion for SEMA in 2001 just before the dot.com crash and then divested for a fraction of the price with billions of dollars squandered
Multi billions $ paid for Smith and Cameron just before the 2014 oil crash and soon to be sold off for a fraction of the price with billions of dollars squandered again and 2 world leading companies decimated by SLB management incompetence
Abysmal performance but yet the CEO walks away with multi million USD payoff and an annual Retirement salary
What a dysfunctional mess of a company. SLB should be banned from acquiring any other company again. Business schools can use the SLB blunders to show student how not to run an M&A strategy and what managerial incompetence really looks like
SLB destroyed M-I SWACO. Just like we knew they would.
Would have been MUCH better off without SLB. Fact!
Where is the news source?
Cameroon, Smith, M-I were bad acquisitions.
Tired of hearing these sub business employees/ex-employee.
No, you would not have been better if schlumbertron hadn't had bought those companies.
Man I hope that includes M-I. They have destroyed the Florence Ky plant.
