Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Will furloughs turn into layoffs?

What are the chances all of us will return to work at Schlumberger once coronavirus is a distant (or not so distant) memory? I'm thinking plenty will simply see their status changed from furloughed to laid off sometime during the next few weeks (or even months.)

The company was given a perfect opportunity to get rid of as many employees as it wants, I don't see it wasting it.

I dodged about 10 rounds of layoffs in the past 12years with SLB in Houston, not this time, i'm part of the 20% statistics.

QUIT CALLING THEM LAYOFFS. Jfc they are not LAYOFFS they are releases. The company does not do LAYOFFS. They are terminations, plain and simple.
