in my past experience this is a witch hunt. you are being investigated because your manager was copied and no matter what you do right now you will be terminated in next 6 months. gracious thing to do is to tender your resignation so that you can still get 2 weeks worth of pay
So what happened?
why what did you do?
This reply might be too late, lawyer up with a labor law office representative. Anything those days can be considered a violation of "the code".
Maybe they want to discuss behavior of another employee or contractor? Are you working from home?
Sounds like there has been a formal complaint logged to HR which may or may not be about you by a fellow employee. If logged against you, there is an investigation going on by HR and management to obtain facts and other potential evidence. If it involves others, you may be getting a meeting invitation from the investigator regarding what you know about a certain incident. Usually if your manager is notified, you are the subject of the investigation.
Normal for investigations. Be careful, this could be someone having a complaint about you, even if you don’t think you offended someone.
Typical HR investigation. Normal. Someone mentioned you witnessed or heard the incident they will ask you about. Be careful, it may have been something YOU did that offended someone without you knowing. Tread carefully especially now.
