Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Sugarland layoffs

I am hearing conflicting news. Many contractors were let go with 2 weeks notice. There is company wide 20% salary reduction and furlough.

Are there any fulltime employees layoffs so far? If so when they are coming?

I am hearing - some early retirements are offered as an option. Is that true? What will happen to dual careers?

There is not 20% across the board paycuts. There are still contractors left that could be cut loose, but employee layoffs are in full swing and will likely continue through Q2, if not longer. Remember, the last downturn started Dec 2014 and went to summer 2016.

It's just sad. They let go of the employees that put their heart into their job and work to make the company better. In the end it's a number game to them
