Been waiting for a month for "transformation" layoffs....or worse yet....resignation letter demands/transfer of employment to a third party, thus relinquishing of tenure, quick firing. Has anyone heard anything? Or if not, share your thoughts?
Was quite sure the last day of Q1 would be the day for it to happen, and completely mentally prepared myself, then it didn't. So seriously, April Fool's Day....day one of Q2 is the next expected date?
All things considered, with all we are going through personally, globally, right now, wouldn't that lend some much-needed relief? If it happens for me tomorrow, that's how I'll look at it.
As is obvious, employment here is a day to day proposition right now. (I get we should all think of it that way every day, but those of us that are committed to our careers always do.) It has been a while since anyone was talking about the company honoring the legacy, fair TR severance plan (in the US anyway), which was only legally bound in the spinoff until July '19. I know that has been granted to others since then, but in the US, it's anyone's guess. No legal/statutory obligation whatsoever. Other than horrible optics for the "partners" if they don't. Not sure if that will matter in the current climate.
Day to day employment right now, quite literally. Every day waiting for the HR invite. Everyone stay well.
