Thanks Dave's fan boyz and girlz. You turn a post that recognizes that Seagate management doesn't hesitate to lay people off at the slightest ill wind into a ramble about whether we appreciate janitors or security guards.
Yes, both sides have a degree of agency. So the choices are: Try to keep a job in the face of a cratering global economy and risk getting ill or quit and risk being out of a job in the face of a global recession and have less risk of getting ill.
