I am one of the people being furloughed a week in april and week in may, its humourous they announce executives will take a pay cut too. How about you multi millionaire's forgo a years salary to keep us working class in jobs, bad enough you cancelled raises now you make us take unpaid leave. This new leadership is such a dissapointment. All about their bonuses

Honeywell is the worst company I have ever worked for. They furlough you biweekly so you can’t collect unemployment. Out of the 3-4 years I have worked here, I’ve been furloughed every year.
How successful of a CEO are you if you are furloughing employees every year?!?
You are an absolute embarrassment Darius, and your little stunt on tv with the President doesn’t fool anyone that works for you.
Complaints shoul dbe filed with the FED about any compnay doding layoffs or furloughs and still expecting to get funds form the federal government. I have seen complaints on town hall meeitngs already with senators asign them noit to provide funds of any kind to corporations that are cutting cost at the expense of employees. Penalties on future contracts for any company that laid-off or furloughed employees.
Honeywell will eat it’s on to satisfy the stockholders every-time
Furloughs, layoffs, theft of raises already given, restructuring, elimination of positions. All part of the HON business model to decrease overhead. If they could pay us on the same 120 day terms as our vendors they would!
the top guys should not be able to get any new bonus pay or new stock options for the next 3 years if they were serious about "sharing the pain" with employees.
I won't hold my breath.
Somebody please explain why furlough is such as bad word or phrase? They want you to say unpaid leave?
in Europe we are pressured to keep working while 'volunteering'
absolute shower
Fired for unauthorized use...yes this is true.
@1mpd+14bXTg8A We got our schedule yesterday for well if I say PMT there a lot of those places so UOP. we get one week furlough April and May as forums been saying. But our schedule also has us working every other week so less people at work during day and on shifts. Not sure how Kronos will work when they have us doing that. Hope all goes well soon for all of us at this Job we have here. Yes its a Job only. A lot of us old timers at UOP loved working here but sure has changed in the last 13 years since Honeywell came in. Be safe all
Has anyone got their furlough information yet? As far as which dates you are scheduled to take your furlough? I work in HBT and still haven’t received the information about what color team I’m on and which dates in April and May I have to take. Wasn’t that supposed to be communicated to today??
Funny that some people are puzzled by the policy. Hey, why would you do ANYTHING for HON if you are not paid for it? We are nothing but prostitutes, providing service for money in return. Plus, we get double the beatings from our "pimps" :-) Isn't that enough?
@emt Yes that is true. We had to leave all forms of communication in the office and upon return, we filled out a form in the training modules stating that we did not work during the furlough week.
What distresses me is the executive salary is but a tiny portion of their total compensation. So cutting a minor portion of their total compensation adds up to next to nothing. My compensation went down last year because of furloughs and DA's went up. Given their extreme levels of compensation, it doesn't seem right.
This is not new to HON; this is the core of HON.
