UHG is the best company I have ever worked for. I work in QFO and management has been very kind to all of us and I think unless you are on the front lines of this everyone in America should be concerned about layoffs. I have read so much false information regarding they don't care about staff which is complete BS. They have made us all aware that our health is top priority. No need for complete panic.

No you id–t the problem isn’t the people that come here to see rumors about layoffs the problem is people posting about layoffs with no real information and at best educated guesses. In a time like this what a layoff site needs is information. Simply posting “All non essential roles will be eliminated” with no source or even a sc-ap of details is useless. I could guess there will be layoffs and be 100% certain of it but it means nothing because it’s just what I believe.

People came here because it was a reliable source of information in the past regarding layoffs not a sounding board for people like you to wish for people to burn in hell.

I was part of a recent layoff and am still looking. With that said there are three things I would like to say:

  1. If they begged me to come back I wouldn’t. This is a cancerous company that deserves to burn in hell along with it’s so called leaders
  1. I don’t care if people here are spreading rumors or not and if someone is stressed because of those rumors. If you don’t want it be stressed don’t come here and don’t work for this company.
  1. The “leaders” there don’t care about any of you. They are pieces of trash that deserve to burn in hell

Did I mention burn in hell.

I highly doubt it too! I know there have been layoffs but I’m not worried. Been there 2 short years and I’ve climbed that ladder. 2 promotions and 3 bonuses. Not worried about a thing on this next round.

I highly doubt this! In fact, I believe if UHG had known what was coming with the Coronavirus, they would not have RIFed as many people as they had. Many departments being asked to help out in other areas.
Rather than making up stories, why not be kind and supportive of others.

If it happens hopefully it is not too bad. You would be surprised at how many people are applying for current reqs that are former employees. Many people want to come back. It is rough out there and be thankful and work hard if you are still here. I know UHG is not close to perfect and there are many things they could improve but this is a very uncertain time and many are going to be struggling in 2020. UHG is a strong company and hopefully that will help by minimizing any layoffs that may come. Prayers for everyone on here and who will soon to be on here.

Across the enterprise or specific areas?

I heard from a reliable source that there is going to be a massive RIF. Just a blood bath like never seen before here. I guess we have to wait and see.

Funny that the CFO was on Dave’s Daily Friday saying we were doing great financially and our investors are happy. So... what is it really?

All lines leadership meeting today. PTO Suspended, mostly due to shortage. So it would seem odd that they would then layoff people as well. But united has made lots of incredibly stupid decisions this last year, so who knows.

It’s a fact. There have been some closed door meetings and they are looking at how/how soon to roll out this massive RIF. Tough times for all of us indeed..

Honestly, as someone who was recently laid off, and if I could do it all again, I would take as many Learnsource sessions as possible to update my skills, get or keep my resume updated, get any healthcare I needed, and otherwise just keep doing my job. You will have plenty of opportunity to take your severance and file for unemployment later if your layoff day ever comes.

To the A'holes who keep posting layoffs coming, Massive layoffs etc: If you have no other information other than that, dont post anything. It causes panic, hysteria, and fear which is not needed especially in these current times. If you get jollies out of posting like that, find something else to do with your time

When and Who??

Is this based on fact? If so, please say when and what areas will be impacted so that we can use this knowledge to prepare. Otherwise, if this is based on a rumor, it is unkind to spread in times like these.
