I don’t think you can get unemployment being on leave of absence unless proven to be directly from covid19

Unemployment is about $1,500 a month. Pretty sure all OXY production techs make more than that.
Take unpaid leave of absence and get paid more from unemployment while also keeping your insurance. That's what Oxy wanted, yes? No one making $82k before the pay cut is necessary to the business apparently.
