Tuition reimbursement on hold?

A few coworkers mentioned that they heard the STAP tuition reimbursement is also suspended now. I cannot find this posted anywhere or mentioned in any of the videos. Does anyone have any further insights on this? Any chance they let you take classes and reimburse you for these back classes at a future date?

Really. Tuition Reimbursement.? Are you people stupid at Ford? You are looking for school money, and the other dimwit is asking questions about going to FCA. If that is what worries you, both of you should be out of jobs. Rude, but true. Get rid of adoption, And quit insuring families with nine children. Build vehicles that are not recalled as soon as they get off the assembly line. Chicago!

There is a pandemic and the country is basically on lock down. Agency people are going to miss a paycheck in 2 weeks. Ford people are being forced to take vacation and are worried about losing their jobs. The company is seriously on the rocks and you are worrying about not being reimbursed for tuition expenses. Are you kidding me?

Company is gasping for oxygen, in a very deep ocean. Last 3 years wasted living in a make believe world. Now its real. I wouldn't expect anything other than a regular paycheck, if even that, for a long time.

And yet, Boomers nearing retirement wonder why they can't get young talent to move to Michigan and replace them...

Thanks for the info everyone. I understand the severity of the cash crunch and am not mad at Ford for doing it. I am just disappointed in the overall situation as I have already spent a ton of time and Ford’s $s for the education. I have completed too much of the program to quit, but enough remains that I would have a difficult time paying out of pocket. Not sure what to do going forward.

Ohh well, I am thankful I still have my family, health, and a job (even if morale here is here is at an all time low.) I hope everyone is able to use this time at home with a positive attitude.

Does it include people in the middle of completion of their degree?

Kumar mentioned it in Return to 10. Any new or unapproved claims will be denied. Sorry Millennials, but it's your turn to sacrifice. Boomers and Gen X went through this in 08.

The announcement said tuition reimbursement is suspended until Sept. Last time they did this the suspension was extended for several years and there was NO back- reimbursement when the suspension was lifted.
