Yes, I am one of the lucky ones that has (this time) dodged the bullet. So, why am I feeling this way? Depressed, anxious, heart-broken for the friends and coworkers who weren’t so lucky. Feeling uncertainty about what the future may hold for me. After having given this company my best for the last 20+ years, will the same thing happen to me someday?
How do I move on from this, and still give this company 100%?

First reply is correct. Get your ducks in a row now. Forget any loyalty obligations you may have. GAC doesn't have any towards us.
Odds are, it will happen. There’s no guarantee, even if you are a good performer. Just be prepared. Have your finances in order.
