Most of them already didn't do anything all day, but they have next to nothing to do since the downturn. Their hardest decision everyday is what to watch on Netflix and eat for lunch. But sure let's keep all of them

But look at the management page. They had to do something otherwise it's a bunch of old white guys.
The only time an office person works hard is when its time to come up with new ways to justify thier job. Everyone there could be replaced and NOV would continue to function
Be that as it may, there are others who are not so busy as well at work but busy in other peoples business along with keeping track on people and should have only worried about themselves.... Plenty of people slack all over NOV even before the rona, managers too, nothing new. I know hard workers who were let go last week across the board.

Totally agree. We file our nails and ride the internet all day. Life is good at Gateshead in fact work interferes with my social life.
That said the only managers I respect aren’t connected to me. Manufacturing managers are very receptive and responsive. My manager and office managers are extremely passive aggressive.
Gateshead is toxic and will be decommissioned by year end. Sales and Eng will survive purely down to three people. Remember these three people have and are destroyed the Anson brand with wizardory. No place now, I have no doubt they will be here for the next downtown.

My role is deemed “office personnel”. I can assure you that I have gone above and beyond in my years of service at this company. From never taking a sick day to working while on vacation, taking calls on the weekends, etc., as I support a group that works closely to the drill string. Keep in mind that many managers wouldn’t survive without “office personnel” holding their d**s so they won’t pss on their shoes.
Tell that to the great CAO! She loves diversity but it’s all women!!
