Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Record your "Its Permanent Call". Legal to do so without their consent.

Do not say anything, do not agree to anything. Just listen, then hang up.

My lawyer said because of my age, I have a good shot of negotiating more than the 17 weeks and 4 months of COBRA. Going to pay for a couple hours of the attorney's time to do that, and she advised me to tape all conversations and provide them to her. She will review the documents, including the EEOC forms they are required to file because of losing a previous age discrimination law suit.

You may just want to take the package. But if you don't, you will want an accurate record of everything that was said to you. You cant record after the fact, so don't answer the call when it comes, ask for a time appointment and have someone ready to record when they do the call back you schedule. Nothing to lose by doing that.
