Treatment and response is not equal. Two world's existing within this company just depends on which your in as to how you answer.
The company has done a fantastic job on the COVID response. So far, A+ in all aspects: Work from home, work on site, communication, and keeping the company effort focused. And, no I am not a manager or manager type. But respect was definitely earned in the COVID response. Other than not being able to get hands on as engineers like to do, there should be little to no complaints. Well done Seagate. Well done.
- M. F predicts covid impact to be worst than THE GREAT DEPRESSION 1930 wake up to the facts people need to rise above this companys brain washing.
Big layoffs 2021 looks likey.
1 in 4 unemployed but home surfing the internet, taking pictures, s—ing up data. Seagate is in win win with virus. Party on!
One in 4 now unemployed in the USA worldwide furlough money to be phased out wake up where is the money coming from to buy seagate products .
Staff now very nervous off big spikes as lock comes to an end.
The impact is mixed. On one hand you have higher cloud and PC needs during the shelter in places and on the other you have businesses closing. The balance will keep Seagate floating.
As for working at Seagate, it's only as safe as you make it. Thermal scanners and masks don't work if you don't social distance or touch everything. Only common sense will keep the next outbreak from happening at LCO.
