Whatever happened to early quits? When I started on the railroad it was taken for granted that when the work was done you could go home, especially on your Friday.

This is the attitude of the Southern NS employee. You know, the ones who never want OT and 6 hour workdays because it's cheap to live down South. The Northern workforce wants to make money and get overtime so the topic of this post must be written by a Southern guy...
Many of the Southern guys can't believe that you can make well above $100k/yr because all they want to work is 30 hours a week, sheesh!!

Maybe if you would have worked hard and put in a full 40 the company wouldn't be where it is today. Your lazy attitude is what has drove this company in the ground. Be like a ranger and live your life for the railroad.
How about going to Cracker Barrel on YOUR Friday morning and just doing paper work then go home. The old days when supervisors could hold in their pockets. Long gone...

Did away with quits because Ferrel showed up and saw room for cuts and cuts and more cuts pace yourself do the work in slotted time nothing extra or hell cut more...just my opinion
When I started at NS, we c-apped in buckets lined with orange bags! Who remembers this? The good old days! For the record, I'm only in my early 40's
