GAC will be the epicenter of a second wave

Return for non-mx folks looks like its happening by June. Putting more people in danger prematurely all because the kings of the castle dont feel like kings if they cant physically see who they are ruling. BT can see that we work more from home, so this is obviously not about what makes sense and keeps people safe - its about power. Oh right: the best part.. dont worry folks, meetings will still happen over video just like from home. We just need you to drive all the way here to do it. If anyone at the top reads this, ask yourself why you need us physically in your sights to do the same thing we already do more safely at home. Antiquated and self conscious leadership.

You guys there will be another rif eventually. Let’s face it. Just be prepared! Save some money. Have your resume updated. Don’t depend on overtime $$. So many folks I know depend on it.

Chill out. You’re more likely to die from the flu.

Why is nobody freaking out over the hexavalent chromium overexposure? OSHA caught them not having the right tooling for techs and over exposing them for decades. That stuff is more deadly than asbestus. All those people over exposed for decades...

Neighbor's father was in hospice. He had been taking time off to deal with father's issues. Asked his mgr. for time off one morning. Mgr. said no. Couple of hours later, he approached mgr. and quit. His father died later that day. I feel so bad about the turn gac has taken.

Wish I had an immune compromise wife to base my lawsuit on after years of not doing sh–.

GAC fired my husband because I am high risk immune compromised and we asked if there was a way he could work remote and not be exposed to bring the virus back home in late March. HR said he'd have to take it up with his manager. He did, and his manager fired him. Evil work of the devil. God will make them pay.

If it wasn’t for the “remotes” walking around all day on the floor counting their steps, touch labor wouldn’t know you’re there. If you’re not comfortable going back to work you have the same option as touch labor, stay home use your time or go unpaid.

It was nice working without managers hovering around. No unsolved issues. No morning and afternoon pep rallies. No staff meetings (about info that should have been in an email) for my group.

Agree OP, if the bottom line is so holy then why endanger touch labor by bringing more people around. It's totally abt power. Some people are happier and more productive at home and LT can't stand it. Face masks are "good enough" for the essentials on site, so it can't go well when thousands more will get the just "good enough" treatment. (And don't know why below comment put "work" in """"quotes"""" because everyone I know working from home is fingers to the damn bone picking up work from those taken from us in the rif. That work didn't go away and this is far from a vacation. We are keeping things afloat so @least do us the courtesy of not k–ling us even faster than the company.

Might I suggest indeed.com? filter for remote positions. I know you’re upset that you’re not going to get to binge watch Netflix while “working” so maybe find a remote gig?

If a face mask is good enough for the employees that can’t work from home, they’re good enough for you. They don’t get paid anymore to be “in danger”. If one of these employees wanted to stay home to “be safe”, that would have to burn time or go without pay. You should be thankful that you get to “work” from home. Hopefully the next lay-off doesn’t bite you in the a**.

That's exactly been the problem for a long time. Management's ego is more important than anything else. They say their team players but decisions are made by what is best for them, not the company.
