Previous owner of the company wanted to assemble the product outside of the US and then have it brought into the US to finish assembling the AC so that it could have the label: "assembled in the USA" while cutting labor cost.

Different practices for different countries, if you want what Mexicali has then go work In Mexicali. I’m sure they would take adavantage if your superior skill set.

The labor is so cheap, gac considers the parts to be free. Culture is so different. They get fed by the company and a bonus for showing up every day of their work week.
