Just received an email that a CIO is leaving to "pursue a new opportunity outside the company" - then the next sentence is "His last day will be today"
Hmmmm.....seems a bit abrupt - but makes ya wonder

When you leave a job to go to a competitor, as this person did, your last day is immediate.
Do we, "thank him for his service"?
Got the same email - a regional CIO - I imagine there is more than one - looks like original post quoted from the email - I wonder is there something up or did he really just leave?
