Next week engineering group at Tuboscope will be gutted. They will keep some mechanical engineers and some draftsman to complete current projects. Project managers, planners, and manufacturing people will be released. HSE will cut some as well and be restructured again. Inspection groups will be completely consolidated and restructured. That's what happened at Halliburton last week. Laid off around 2500 and called in some that were on furlough to help pack up the belongings of the one's that got cut.
