For those affected by the 5/1 lay-off, did you get an email yesterday (5/10) from Gac HR to give them permission to file for unemployment?
Apparently, these emails are supposed to come out weekly, and I received one 5/1 but haven’t since.

The State of Georgia hates workers and worships large corporations. Rest assured the politicians are extremely loyal to the ones who line their pockets. If you got the axe I know it’s tough right now but the bright side is you’ll have an opportunity to leave this miserable company and state behind. If you make it out, never look back.
Be careful filing. I was denied by GA. Had to set up an appeal. Heard they are denying some and for what reason is unknown.

What would you need that for?
File - do what you need to do and let them deal with it - because they certainly don't care about you or your interests.
Or as they would put it, "Sorry, it's just business."
