One of these covid19 plans is not like the others

Slack - Everyone WFH until September

Amazon IT - Everyone WFH until October.

Microsoft - Everyone will be WFH until October. Workers with families get 12 weeks of PTO to be used 2 days each week to deal with extended school closures.

Facebook - Everyone WFH all of 2020.

Google - Everyone gets a WFH holiday May 22 and we'll WFH all of 2020.

IBM - Everyone is forced to take 5 days of PTO early in Q2 to reduce our liabilities under the guise it's for the employee's well being. We're working on getting you all back into the office as soon as we can with some social distancing and IBM branded cloth masks you'll wear all day.

WFH is important to many people and it is a symptom of IBM in general. In just a few years IBM has gone from "go to work" to "work from home" to "go to work" to "work from home" and soon back to "go to work". This indecisiveness also exists everywhere in IBM. Can you name the key products or strategy? And is it the same as 6 months, one year, two years ago?

Employees get poor pay, no incentives, have to constantly fear layoffs and offshoring, while executives draw huge salary and bonuses when they are clearly failing, and all you guys can complain about is WFH? Pick your battles. There are far more important ones.

There is no surprise here... IBM is the only company in the list with shrinking revenues... yes, IBM is still fairly profitable but it is only because it cut bonuses and GDP to ZERO for its peasants and is no longer giving raises.

This is the reason why Jim W. or no Jim W. things will never change... culture s—s and people are only motivated to do the minimum to hopefully keep their job for another year or two.

IBMers time to wake up, there are great opportunities outside of IBM.
