Managers now are just “pickers” for online orders, nothing more. most STM’s (now working under reduced pay) don’t realize they are being taken advantage of by belk, or maybe they do realize it and are desperate for a job.

Are STM`s making their quota? Better not be talking!
Wow. Before, STMs were just "glorified".
All associates are now glorified online order pickers. Under new rules, all called back associates including managers have to do everything with minimal staffing. The amount of orders coming in alone is unmanageable and the store is very busy with long lines at registers.
$47k/yr ain’t bad for roaming around and grabbing the target 20 units per hour, cancelling up to 1/2 the orders, packing them badly, and not shipping them to the right customer or no shipping at all..The hard job must be damage control on Facebook, sending the same bool-sheet message to everyone who complains, or deleting the posts entirely!
But all that may cut into coffee, breakfast, chatting, sitting in office and texting or complaining about (now former) associates time, though! Talk about losing the “perks”!
Must be tough not to get to do that manager thing us former associates always saw: Group of STM buddies and store manager trash talking about an associate and, just as you walk by them, they get really quiet and indignant like we’re crashing a private party, so we get chastised for wasting time and stealing company time, and get sent to do something dumb like change clearance signs from large ones to identical small ones, while the management goes for a third coffee and pastries run.
Sound familiar, folks?
