Guys my situation wasn't like many of us that was laid off. I actually as part of middle mgmt went to the Ethics VP to fill in on observations that i was witnessing on a certain VP and his treatment towards employees and Customers , He basically said oh you know that guy is just trying to make changes on whats best for the company , I figured out right quick he didn't want to hear how a certain VP was treating folks, Guess i should have never been brave enough to complain as i was let go during the RIF . My EPR performances during my tenure was never below a 4 , So much for the Code of see something say something, Didn't work for me and I can assure those left it wont work for you either, Be wise, tight lipped and never voice your opinions or concerns or your next. So much for an Ethics officer, He went straight to the AH and shared my comments.

I'm not going to mention names but if you were to put together a certain tool in your shed with a container used to store beer you will get who I'm referring to. Awarded a managers job to an existing manager from another department that reports to him. This manager has no qualifications what so ever to even have his resume screened. The J.O.B. had to be re written just so he could meet one qualification. He was awarded to job of course. HR conveyed in a open group meeting that the manager new nothing on the department subject matter but would bring new ideas to the table. Well know new ideas and he is dragging the whole department down with his lack of subject matter, The job he left when he accepted his new position has never been filled. What does that tell you
HR and Legal / Ethics work hand in hand to make sure the company doesn't get sued. If you bring something to their attention, it just gives them time to build up a defense for what is going on and to see if they can work a plan to get you gone. Person / people who work for ethics typically have no ethics and can't be trusted. Will do whatever told to do by management / LT. No investigation or attempts to get to the truth. Lawyers never care about the truth, just that they can win and they aren't playing on your team.
The CIO of BT s—. She spending so much money and our PC s—. Over spending by bad leadership is going on a GAC.
Again... we are all just a number and a data point on a spreadsheet. The end. Minimize the consequences. Stroke the remnants and polish the great cylindrical monument of doom.
Maybe we are complaining to the wrong people.
HR and Ethics are one and the same. They work hand in hand with management to weed out people questioning management. Basically if you’ve ever had a complaint or concern that went through ethics or hr then you were probably laid off. Ethics will actually help management figure out who made the complaint.
Same for Production, Flight Test & Completions. Play along if you want to keep a job.
I agree and know first hand. You may as well go straight to your VP instead of assuming the ethics line & representatives will protect you. I had a number of documented concerns (to include safety)
nothing changed except for pressure on me to leave for fear of getting fired. Manager made my life a living hell. HR is just as bad. The good HR reps left for same reason as me.
My wife always had great reviews. I remember one she brought home, all 5's except for one 4.5. She was salaried and would volunteer for overtime. On and on... She was let go last Oct. Bottom line is watch out for your own interest.
