Said yes to VSPP - Can't Sleep

So i saw no choice but to say yes to VSPP. Financially, I will be fine. But...i can't sleep at night. Not sure if it's excitement of escaping or nervousness of what the heck am I going to do now. Anyone else? Thoughts?

Oh my gawd this thread is perfect. I was so excited my last week. June 19th was my last day. I was also excited. No fear. Just relief knowing there was light at the end of the tunnel. Coworkers call and tell me the latest BS happening and I feel bad for them. At the same time it just reinforces my decision to go. I literally left with no other plans or jobs lines up. 2020 has been the best year for me.
I am so relaxed now. No stress. I will get another job but it won’t be in telco/IP. I could be a cashier at the quickie mart and be so happy.

I can’t wait till I’m officially out of the CTL hell hole. They keep making IT even more screwed up, even when you thought that was impossible.

Our SRO said asap because they want you off the books. He thinks end of very next pay period after you are accepted. Amazing how when I told him I wanted to leave, he became a totally different person, almost human. It's almost like it was a relief to him I am leaving.

How long till they throw you out after you say yes to leaving? End of next pay period? They are telling us over a month, but i don't see that happening.

Looking forward to getting out, I put in for it and will be so relieved when the final day is here to get out of the race to the end, hope it works out for all who are taking advantage of this welcome release from this torture we all have endured since L3 took over here.

Agree with last poster. Numbers numbers numbers. Setup to fail. And, do you want to be one of the last men standing? What do you think will happen when your coworkers leave? Increased not paid for callout. More work with less staff in a job that you already can't get the work done. No thanks. Then, there is also the fact there is no future.

I am more nervous about the repercussions I will face if I am denied the voluntary layoff package.
