Re: "Mattel has gone downhill since CS left." SINCLAIR? CS? BS!!! Are you shi++ing me? As if he did Mattel any good? A tired and useless old man who knew nothing about the business. He and Stockdown were just corporate rapists who started the cash grab and our subsequent decline. Eckert was the last CEO to do any good at Mattel, and he got out at the perfect time with no stink on him.

Does anyone else feel like the executives are just kind of phoning it in at this point?

Mattel has gone downhill since CS left. Period. Both M-Go and Y-not talk a great game, but neither has done a damn thing. Y-not is a charlatan; there is not a single movie script, let alone anything in production. Movies at Mattel are about as real as the posts here that talk about Nancy Pelosi and Direct TV. Nothing but pointless talk with no connection to reality. Mattel is not “an IP-driven, high-performing toy company, second only to Disney in terms of its beloved brands and library.” It is. Worn and weary dinosaur that hangs on to life by a thin thread - sales of Barbie dolls and cheap hot wheels cars. That’s it. There is nothing more. Y-Not doesn’t seem to care that the entire industry laughs about his c-suiters (where does he find these people?????) and that his PR people continue to supply him with the same embarrassing quotes. How can he talk about Mattel Movies with a straight face??? Is the board just in a coma? What was the last great toy Mattel came out with that wasn’t a licensed product? Can’t think of one? You’re not alone. At some point something has to give - there is only so long that the charade can go on. House of cards, my friends, HOC.

I love that they barely let Richard speak on the call. Him saying so little says so much.

Fresh. Smooth. Real. It’s all here.
Be yourself and make it a Capital Light. When you say Capital Light, you’ve said it all. Crafted from only the finest BS that begins high in the San Gabriel Mountains, it flows underground and is naturally filtered over beds of sand and gravel, until it reaches Santa Monica Bay. Tastes great, less filling. It's Capital Light time!

Poster translation: c-suite did not take a pay cut. Read more critically.

Not one word about the layoffs and long furloughs going on appears anywhere in that transcript. Such softball questions asked by the "ANAL-ysts", are they on the payroll? Looks like "Capital Light" is management's preferred new buzzword. And I call BS on the "C-suiter's pay cut" previous comment. Cite sources, evidence? Why the F is Jojo Euteneur still here? That F-ing clown was promised to me long gone by now. The SEC and investors neither forget nor forgive. Mattel's long string of lies and broken promises continues. And RD's still here, UGH.........

So many c-suite execs took pay cuts or are foregoing salaries as the top 1%. Really great demonstration by Mattel leadership. Can their mortgages be that big? After all these years of printing money?
Hopefully, they are donating massively to the poor in their own business communities. #humanityforthewin

All I can say is how can a company with over 200 Vice President’s go wrong.

And now it turns out that none of the movies, upon which Ynon's entire turnaround plan was built, are even being made. Why can't Mattel just hire a competent, no nonsense, brass tacks focused business person as their CEO for once? The country is full of brilliant business minded people, why do we keep recruiting from the short bus?

The worst is yet to come. The turnaround has not worked but this virus is helping to shield the company for now.
