I know at some point huge lay offs will happen, but I believe it is not imminent until September. I am in dothill, we may lose 50% of our colleagues.

What impact is covid 19 to have on Seagates World Market V layoffs.
Yup. The company could lay off 50% of managers and above and still be top heavy vs a normal company. It’s true. The numbers working on products directly are rather small. Lots of levels of slide shows being supported and the source people get little.
how about 47488 Kato Rd, Fremont... how lean are we ...
I am from the old DotHill team. At least I can say we were lean on management. Now, part of Seagate, I got so many managers to deal with. Directors on top of Directors and most are clueless of what is going on. The only time I see them is when the CEO or SVP gets involved. They all show then. Otherwise, more worried about metric slides than really supporting getting products out.
Reporters updating Reporters. Great way to run the business.
Wake up in the morning and your system access is revoked? I can see it. Seagate is sensitive to employees that way.
Layoff via WebEx
Revenue falling year over year, only thing they can do now is lay off huge and show the profit margin. This was an amazing company many years ago, now gone nuts. They made a several mistake including acquiring dothill useless company. Now everything in trouble.
Dot what?
June would make sense due to it being the end of the fiscal year but I guess we just have to wait. Should make it easier since most are working from home.
Generally they've done it right before quarter-end to do extraordinary write-offs for their financial statements so September or June would make the most sense.
But they do it whenever they want as the bottom line.
IT industry as a whole in trouble. Too many people
