Management Avoiding Benefits Reduction

Management keeps telling us we are all in this together and need to make sacrifices to make it through these times. Thats understandable and fair. But can someone please ask why EIP (Employee Incentive Program) bonuses were cancelled/delayed while the MIP (manager Incentive program) bonuses are not affected by the recent benefits reduction? It’s also funny how MACH awards and exempt paid OT, something managers weren’t eligible for originally, also got eliminated. When considering tuition assistance too, low to mid level exempt employees had a significant amount of benefits slashed, while upper management basically had none. But I thought we were all in this together Gulfstream?

dumb–ses. MIP is paid in March every year for the previous years resluts. EIP year end balance is paid out in February for the previous years results, the EIP payment that has been delayed $1000 is the midyear progress payment that is typically paid in June of each year with the balance $1500 paid in February, the actual amount we get is based on the sh–ty orgcard we get measured against.

MIP is typically paid out in early April … unfortunately the big fat early birds got the worm and the employees got screwed. Management incentives are anywhere from 15% - 35% (and in some cases I believe 50%). Suffice it to say all the leaders got their payday just two or three short weeks before you all got the Burns memo and your 'phone call'. It's disgusting but sadly not shocking.

Yes, unions will make everything better for everyone, so funny. Union employees can get laid off just as easily as non union employees can. Wow, if unions were that great everyone would want one, and it just seems like most employees don’t want to be in one. If I recall correctly, union membership is on the decline.

I knew the guy that was electrocuted and also the guy that found him. Company tried to blame the victim. He was as meek and quiet as a church mouse.

The question is can you do anything about what happened? No, you can't strike? You can and you can be let go, what did you win s— it up I'm in the same boat as you but I believe in myself and you should to. I may not make the money I did but I have a new job.

The MIP doesn’t have a mid year payment. The EIP mid year payment has been delayed/canceled; however you want to look at it. It probably wouldn’t look good paying out mid year payments right after a sizable amount of the workforce got let go.

That has been the mode of operation for too long. Management screws things up, makes us shoulder the burden and then they are rewarded with a fat bonus. Sadly most of us are so brainwashed by propaganda that the most obvious solution isn’t taken seriously. Organizing a union will change things in ways you wouldn’t believe. Tired of yearly layoffs? They will tread lightly if the threat of a strike is the consequence of their actions. Tired of the constant erosion of our benefits? If they want to keep their schedule they will settle the contract in our favor. Tired of working your butt off only for the promotion to go to managements pet who spends more time trying to advance their “career” than doing their job? Clearly defined criteria can be written into the contract to determine job level. Bottom line is that management will continue to abuse us until we organize and create our own leverage.

You actually didn't get laid off after GAC k–ls employees by virus, electrocution, crash or pushes them to commit s–c-de and your are complaining about your f—ing bonus?

Did you also notice in the “Reduction in Force” Policy, that directors and above are excluded from being laid off? What a surprise.

We also did not do a 32 hour work week, or any kind of furlough. Upper management is out for themselves. We don’t matter to them, only their paychecks.
