"Correction" ...... i was trying not to get caught when i wrote about chapter 11. The guys at Tuboscope did not mention chapter 11, it was mentioned about NOV.

Many were laid off but it wasn't enough considering there is no work coming in. Rumor has it more cuts coming next week for Tuboscope. Heard that Chapter 11 was even mentioned.
Is Tuboscope done laying off for now or are there more? I heard quite a bit have been cut already.

I've been at their shop on Holmes Rd. quite a few times having to deal with the electrical guys. I have heard some of the guys talking about new projects but then they say it got shot down from up front.
I met the guy the poster is talking about with his feet up on the desk, seen him many times, a c*cky little know it all. Elab guys say he has to rebuild everything he puts together at least twice because he doesn't pay attention to what he does, him texting the girl up front and working just not a good fit for him.
I don’t know who you’re referring to but I would have to think that Tuboscope is on its way out. Their technology is over priced, outdated technology with the same old foggies running the company that do not have the slightest bit of innovation at all.

Brother? I think not. Maybe you should pay more attention of what's happening around the facility. You see, i do wear lipstick, everyday. I also know Phil is not throwing anybody under the bus, Phil is the bus and it's going to start being his way or the highway brother!
You sound scared and you should be!! Phil knows what people are suppose to be doing and what they should not be doing. He knows more than you think he does, for instance, the guy's on the shop floor are in site.
- Don't sit at you're desk with your feet up and play on your phone
- Stop going up front and drooling over R2's boobs. You can't afford that p**sy
- Stop wondering around from dept. to dept. bothering other people.
- Stop going to plant 3, you're not getting any of that Asian p**sy.
- Stop doing it your way and build it per print.
- Stop being a know it all and thinking you're the only one who can build this equipment.

You mean to tell me just keeping around a bunch of stubborn , 30, 40+ year employees buddies with the VP doing it 'the way we've always done it' that put out sh– equipment to 'get it across the tracks' and then move on with no accountability isn't the ideal way to run an engineering group? What has Tubo even built over there in the last few decades? Everything we have to work with is just a rehash or band aid over the same 40yr old tech these guys originally built.
Phil was brought in for a reason, Couch is on his way out and changes are going to be made at Holmes Rd. Those who push blame and the I don't knows are not going to be happy in the future. At least that's what the fly on the wall is saying.
Ha.. Future VP has a lot to learn on how things are done here. If you think you'll get any authority to hold anyone accountable for not doing their job around here, I have some beach front property in Idaho to sell you.
Holmes Rd. future VP is going to make more changes as soon as he's given the green light. He see's who works/ tries to stay busy and who sits at their shop desk texting all day long. He notices the guy playing on Facebook everyday, even when the guy goes in the back to hide. The electric lab is saturated with do nothing / know nothing guys. Only 2 of 8 that are there can wire a piece of inspection equipment. Weld shop got rid of one of their d—beats, they still have one who can't weld worth a sh**. Warehouse is running slim but the guys pulling parts can't get it right, maybe they will cut 1 for sure. Engineering made a small change, getting rid of Draftsmen last cut but they need to make some serious changes with the design engineers. The VP in charge may leave this year if the cuts are not deep enough, i heard he has planned to leave next year, guess time will tell.
We lost some in engineering a couple of weeks ago. I heard yesterday from my manager we’re about to get hit pretty hard again. Apparently our future VP is throwing a lot of us under the bus.
Tuboscope needs to cut some of that senior management they have over there at their corporate office. Some of those old dinosaurs need to finally retire and allow them to keep some of their younger employees.
Fun fact....GI-Malls (Gossip Intelligence) originally came from Tubo after they didn't want him anymore. Some genius at Rig brought him over for whatever reason and the rest is Throwing People Under the Segway History.
If you look a further bit down there have been losses in quite a few places. Holmes Road lost 7 or 8 a few weeks ago. Sheldon and other facilities down to skeleton crews. Keep hearing rumors it's about to hit hard or get worse, but so far it's been eerily quiet...
