Fat 'Yank' Stevie you certainly wont get any of Aberdeen's North Sea/European customers. They don't want 'Yank' trademark piss poor quality. Aberdeen have bailed this sh– hole out for years and the very rare time they don't outperform Houston you lot think you are c— of the North. You can be guaranteed 100% after that video if Aberdeen get shafted then DQ will be getting f— all work. Birdie boy might not care but the shareholders will. You lot will be back to flipping burgers and struggling to pay for your trailer.

Bird is a yes man who does not understand this business. His previous employers were joyful after he departed, and Blake got him $1m sign on bonus.
Regarding the young apprentice he has been groomed for a top position since 2013 or so. What that top position is-we shall see, but he did not make many friends along the way except Blake. Once Blake is gone (which appears to be imminent after 9 years and terrible outcomes) we shall see where he stands! Boy has not been self sufficient
yet.

The fireside call was interesting, clearly bad blood brewing between Blake and Bird. Some of Jeffs comments on poor acquisitions were clearly aimed at Blake. His obvious go ahead with the Shaw buyback a challenge to Blake’s authority. The AGM could be interesting for Blake maintaining control

Can't see the apprentice taking over anytime soon after the latest DQ debacle. Don't think customers would be too impressed if he got rewarded with promotion after his comments.

Why is HR writing and making comments like “you need to give it a rest”? Blake is not a major shareholder, and in fact he is responsible for current situation at DQ. Since market downturn he has rewarded cronyism instead of competence and
DQ ended up with ungodly number of managers all playing politics. He pursued buzz words such as “center of excellence”, APQP and similar instead of ensuring operational efficiency. He bought TIW which was a complete miss, instead of buying VAM drilling which would increase company’s bottom line. Blake is not responsible for oil prices but he is
responsible for 18% quarterly loss just recently posted. Let’s face it: DQ has strong foundation but it needs to get back to its roots. After last 5 years of
stumbles it is time for new blood on the Executive Suite!!!! And that does not mean his your apprentice. New Blood

You lot really need to give this a rest. Last month Blake specifically said that NO facility will be closed as they require a presence in all regions. There are going to be many redundancies there is no getting away from that but every facility is required to service local regions. Blake might be seen as an obstacle but there is a huge problem there. He is on the board of shareholders and he is also a major shareholder which make it more difficult to get rid of him like Bird did to big Jim. People also need to watch all the videos and read all the statements correctly and not read between the lines. Blake has previously said he will try to keep as many positions as possible and this ties in with the latest information that came out where he said that they still need to be in a position to immediately respond to customer needs when the industry starts to pick up. There will be a lot of restructuring and a lot of overheads/in-directs will be getting targeted while they rely on manufacturing staff to complete the current backlog and be in a position to respond to increasing demand. With world economies starting to come out of lockdown it is already predicted that demand will exceed supply by the end of May and stocks will get used quicker than first thought due to the inventories not building as much as previous forecasts.

Don’t jump to conclusions, have you not seen the video and read how they tried to explain it away. You could even sense the phoniness in their voices when Bird and the other boy tried to explain what they meant at the end of the COVID town hall.
Big Jim was his first obstacle now Blake is his last.

Let’s not jump to conclusions that they are going to close/mothball Aberdeen. Shutting the HQ to the eastern hemisphere would have an advise affect on there customers. Would a customer be willing to wait for work to be completed by a workshop the other side of the world for rig in the North Sea or Africa. If they closed Aberdeen, they would really struggle to restart any operation as the people they would rely on would have moved on.

It certainly sounds like a mass reduction in manpower and closing of premises. Good luck to whoever they effects, they next few weeks are not going to be enjoyable.

it's a shame if they close Aberdeen, Aberdeen has always been a best performer and profiter, however, the management expects to earn money from the region is high hence they think its a poor performer, Nothsea still has life, DQ need to learn how to price product on a competitive market
