Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

If you work in svc. and are licensed , take every school that you can and keep your own records of it. Keep asking your STM and leads for it. The certificates will help lend some security to your future somewhere else. Gulfstream may rollover like a dead c—roach but the remaining operators will still need maintenance. Don't count on Gulfstream as a secure income provider. Gather up everything you can to promote yourself and family. Make friends and talk to everyone that gives you a positive vibe. Including the customers. Just be yourself. Keep an eye on the trade pubs like Aviation International News or Business and Commercial Aviation. They are a good source for industry trends and developments, like Boom Technology. After reading over this, I realized this is what I would have counciled myself years ago.
