Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Why is it?

The overwhelming majority of companies are having just furloughs and are already getting ready to call people back and yet here we are with layoffs - as permanent as it can be. Why is that?

Is Gulfstream certain it will not recover even after the coronavirus crisis is over and is already preparing for a significantly leaner operation? If that's true, then none of us are safe here anymore...

@younowho ex-scum? Wow. I’m sure there were some people who needed to be weeded out but everyone? You will go far at GAC (and probably a manager anyways) because you are the exact immoral, unethical heartless person that has come up with all of the dumb conniving decisions that put good people in this situation. Just remember though, karma comes around and you reap what you sow so when they finally do screw over your pathetic self don’t even think about trying to get any sympathy then. Please find some Jesus.

No WARN payout for ex-scum. Too bad losers. Get over it and get bent.

Gulfstream is using this as an excuse to eliminate people with 20+ years dwell time. Tribal knowledge resources purged due to z's (the stock clerk wonder from vero beach) desire to give Gulfstream "a new face". The customers used to compalin about seeing different people working on their aircraft everytime they had a mx visit. It would be appropriate, at this time, for punitive legal action to be directed towards Gulfstream.
