Buy IBM? lol Buddy, you are on the wrong website.
FWIW you cannot BS IBM's new CEO about technology, you cant pretend much around him and he has considerable business insight. He is not afraid of much either. So although we are going to go through another round of cuts, what emerges is probably worth investing in. Buy IBM
Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.
useless and ruthless... how is that qualities for a CEO?
In some companies, those are the major qualifications for upper management.
If AK does as well as he did as SVP of the Cloud division then IBM is doomed. In his last all hands call, his charts were showing red all over.
This guy is useless and ruthless... how is that qualities for a CEO?
Known AK since 2007. He is a lot better than Ginni who never should have got the job. She took ibm in the wrong direction. She was out of her depth for the role. AK has had his eyes on this role for a very long time. He'll give it a real go but it will be hard for him to repair the damage that Ginni did.
What are you optimistic about?
Seems way too eager to get us all into the offices wearing masks for 8 hours. He's quoted asking the government for standards to return to offices. Unless we're doing an alternate dates arrangement, it's impossible to do social distancing in an open office where you're 3-4 feet from the person next and in front of you. Top that off with the microwaves and bathroom situation. Already know from some coronavirus vulnerable employees that if it comes to coming back in without a vaccine or be fired, they'll just leave and retire. Not worth the risk at that age.
yes, in the right forum. Not sure what hr is doing in this forum.
weary of watching ceo after ceo get paid for what?
Yes you probably are
Just-in-time products? This is the IBM forum. Are you sure you are in the right place?
The pandemic has given this ceo a 1-in-100 year opportunity and he has the talent and machinery at his disposal.
At the least this ceo should discuss a pipeline of just-in-time products given the (years of) headstart he has.
At least most will have to agree that nobody can be worse than his predecessor, right?
