Thread regarding Gulfstream Aerospace layoffs

Customer POV & Thank you to the employees

I have been operating Gulfstreams for over 28 years. I have met some of the best folks in the world over those years. So to you thank you for supporting me and my team. We certainly have had ups and downs but we never gave up on you and you on us.

The issues i have seen exampleGulfstream is way to focused to build brick and mortar as opposed to investing in around the clock coverage in the hangars to get our aircraft in and out of your service centers. For some reason instead of adding the same amount of 2nd shift or thirds your mgmt team would rather build another facility. Yes i understand that promotes the value of the businiess while we suffered to get in and out.

I have shared this to leadership folks for years that would listen and now those folks are all gone. I now deal with a guy that really doesnt understand how Gulfstream was built with people that knew how to treat not only me but other owner operators.

I will keep this short and say thank you to the employees that help me keep my job all these years and wish you Gods speed tothe folks that got thrown out on there heads for donating most of your life to a company at the end didnt care about you as you thought.

The leaders need to call the VP the recently let leave and ask him for the playbook. As the current regime is completely lost. That's why i will consider and go to other locations for maint now,

Take care severed members god has a plan , hang in there why he reveals your future.

I'm glad I was a tech for the 2000's Era. We had high standards, respect for each other and high surveys and happy customers. They slowly removed everything good and it is now just a bunch of non airplane guys stamping out the aviation in

I think one of my favorites was the G3. Damage a hyd. line? Simple. Grab some b nuts, a flaring tool and splice in a hose assy. to get home. G550 morphed into a really fine airplane, though. Special missions still buying them. Not FBW.

Thank you, Operator. Your comments mean a lot. I had taxi and ground run authority on GI (no typo) and G550, both. The old days of true aviators' interests are over at gulfstream. Your kind comments remove some of the sting from being deemed irrelevant.

Nail on the head, indeed! The VP that left was truly the last of the original Gulfstream foundation. PTB now are using GAC to mas—ate their ego. I really dont see any chance of a change. These mo–ns promoted the development of the GVIi into G400, G500 and G600. The G400 seems to have disappeared. No trace left in the certification world. The influx of the mcdonnell douglas people brought a corupt mindset.

You have hit the nail on the head! Thank you for the encouraging words. It means alot in this terrible time for us workers who gave alot only to be treated like a number. When the economy comes back GAC will discover the talent they lost and how hard it will be to replace them if even possible. After all who wants to work for this company any more. They now are going to expect to get more with less-it just shows how out of touch the upper managers are! Mabey they should have invested a little in the workers on the floor!

Thank you for such kind words, and this warms my heart. Those of us that were let go under these circumstances during this time are worried but in a strange way relieved. The universe has a plan for each of us and has paved the way to be happier in whatever professions we will soon take.
