I feel bad for my former SLB blue brothers south! In Canada I got pay equal to three weeks for each year of service. That was six months ago. What do you get one week if that? And you had to reduce your pay recently? Is that accurate? If makes your payout less, definitely don’t sign the lower pay and they lay off you get the higher pay. Why is talking about pay so bad? It seems SLB reneges on all promises and used the pandemic as an excuse and use sit well.
With severance, we would not qualify for unemployment benefits and the extra $600 week. Anyone know something different?
Sorry to hear that. I was laid off in 2015 and want to tell you that there is life after SLB. Feel bad, get mad, and do what you got to do to get through it! Afterwards, kiss and hug your family, pray, and count your blessings then try to move on with life!
That' unfortunate. Good luck to you. The one silver lining is that the CARES act will give you an additional $600 per week and unemployment benefits are for 39wks instead of 26.
