I worked in the branch in the west san fernando valley of california on a work campus with several other health and financial facilities on the same place. Sorry I do not want to be more specific then that. I was an account administrator there and they moved the entire facility which was originally from one location in the same city, to another new building in the same exact city, while I was there. The rest areas were extremely comfortable and relaxing, but you still had people complaining about the work constantly, so I couldn't take it anymore and left the place. A lot of people from ventura county worked there for some reason because it was adjoining or next to los angeles county. I sort of resented that since the san fernando valley has a lot of poor people that would have enjoyed working at all. I had to onetime help a friend get free healthcare which is somewhat adequate in california and the room was packed with about a hundred people, desperate for some assistance, and this was when things were going tremendously great. So you got these better off employees from another county taking jobs away. However that is tribalism on my part. I know people don't distinguish one city or county from another, but you can tell the differences in rich and poor around here, if you just look around from one city and another. I know someone will probably hate on what I just said in a reply. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone knew if that place is currently in complete remote work for everyone? When I was there, us permanent workers had to come in the majority of days and then it was remote work the rest of the week.
I was a very long time employee but finally left because I coudn't take the stress anymore from the other coworkers. I was curious because there was a couple coworkers I knew in other departments that were somewhat understanding. Although we were not friends but just discussed things occasionally in the lunch area. So I am just wondering what happened? They also had a lot of very older workers there which seemed very odd also. You think I want to hear how great your kids are if you won't even hire friends of them. You wonder why they go immediately to socialist thought or want everything free. It's because you don't want them working near you apparently. I think someone in the mail room recently retired but not sure why he was there at his age. I am not joking in saying he was several decades above retirement and I have to admire his stamina. Although it was slow and hardly any mail came in at all during the week, so it was probably a job anyone could have done. I don't really know for sure though. Anyway, any type of information would be appreciated. Thank you.

I agree with the statement. Although I think you are leaving out something. Were they rude to you? How did they treat you specifically? The problem here is if you work at a place where you say they are rude and complain, then why work hard at all. It lowers your productivity. Lowers your incentive to do your best. Do as little as possible. Have little to absolutely no incentive to provide new ideas or better ways of doing things. Since everyone complains then bringing up
something wouldn't be worth it because you would be yelled at back for doing so. Among other problems this would bring. It evenually effects the well being of the business that the health insurance patients depend on. The only time it would be wise to complain and just be rude outloud incessantly would be if that was part of the culture of the place. I have worked in places like that and you know what you are going in for. You should not accept that at a place that provides health insurance to people and clients. For instance, in the past if you worked for the veterans administration, you knew from the news that you could get away with not processing claims or delaying procedures, or not caring about unsafe conditions, and basically being rude to the veterans that had the VA health insurance because that is who they were. They knew when you went to work there that there would be no repurcussions of getting laid off over that. On the other hand, when you view smiling faces of the public, in a public nationwide health insurance commercial, where everyone is happy and playing games, that is not what you would expect when working here. It is false advertising to those wanting to apply and work here. They might as well be upfront and honest about it. They will still get people but at least they could all work together as a group and just be rude with everyone.
This statement from this account administrator about this place, informs us how bad the ethics department or whoever takes these issues at this specific location. At what appears to be the woodland hills aetna place just based on what she described. If she was that bothered and didn't think anything could be done about it, then that reflects badly on the place I think. Why was there no suggestion box as there are with other places? If this was obviously going on in the open then why was nothing done to solve these issues? I think she should have brought it up to the ethics department or someone in authority to solve these problems.
I wanted to clarify that I did not leave just due to the stress. I found a happy work environment that pays better. Just to answer your question. I did not specifically also mention the abuse and harassment in full detail. You probably don't live in the state of califorina but they have harsh laws in regard to that and if reported would get them in trouble. I did not bother with that however. I was also there for a lot of years. If I was that bothere by it, I would have left a lot earlier, wouldn't I.
Give me a break. Alright then I'll admit that being a female account adminstratore sort of heightens what you feel emotionally going on around you. Were you there also? What department? Again, I found somewhere better that pays a lot and the workers are happy every day. So I guess you are just a loyal employee that is fine with being in a place you don't like. Good for you then. I wish I could be a sadomasichist also. However that is not who I am.
Most ridiculous reason to leave a good job. Blame other employees for your stress level. OMG, get a life.
Are yo asking what happened to that particular place.
I think there will be a downsizing there.
