Furloughs in USA based on Mikes call last week just took a 20% hit on delivery direct client facing roles on our team. No notice to their managers just a email from Ed H. saying your done as of Friday 5/8 and maybe on 7/5 we will bring you back... no word on if we get out bonuses we earned or anything else.

Completely confirmed. I was furloughed until July 5. This is how you defer salaries I guess. I do not believe for a second that I will be called back. The hit was huge. My guess is during the next two months we will all turn into WFR's and then get 0 severance. Very sad.
Yup. No consideration of your past & present contributions, years of service and dedication to your job. This is modern corporate loyalty for you - s— the life out of you and dispose of you when it's convenient for the company

My boss was notified he is being furloughed effective Friday May 8 2020 for 8 weeks. Health care will be continued and he is eligible for unemployment and will return in July, assuming they don’t extend the furloughs. Another entire team we have worked with previously have been furloughed. All those not furloughed or not layed off will need to be 50% client billable. Cuts are focused on levels 5-8. I am level 6 and not a manager, and eked by so far but I am more than 50% billable and 90% utilization. It’s going to be a rough quarter.

20% you say is that 20 percent out of 5, or 20% out 100, 20% out of 1,000 ? Saying 20 percent means nothing. 100% hit on 1 person for example. Give useful information! Tell us what Furlough really means, no pay, no insurance, no severance and you might be brought back? Or what? Stop complaining and give useful information your coworkers can use
Furloughs what does that mean? No pay, no insurance ? How is that different from WFR, except no severance

I was laid off as of 5/8 in US, not even furloughed.

Confirmed..we lost several today from our team as well. Stating a furlough till July 5, with a possible return.
