VMware filled under VMware.

See how that works?

I appreciate the post because it illustrates that tech is not going to just waltz through this recession like the last one. Furloughing 25% of your staff for two weeks tells me they're having cash flow problems. They probably didn't resort to layoffs because they don't want to lose the employees, but this could easily turn into full scale layoffs later in the year.

You can bet your bottom dollar that enterprise companies aren't spending money. Budgets are getting slashed and CAPEX is cratering. Dell got ahead of the curve ironically by firing so many people before the recession hit.

50% of tech employees are lazy and overpaid, except for maybe sales and customer service. I bet most engineering departments could take 50% cuts in headcount and nobody would notice. Product Management is worse.

What does this have to do with Dell? Nutanix furloughing people for a week of new quarter is a bit different than Dell firing people - which they have done. Nutanix has not laid anyone off.

Dell sees Nutanix as threat so they will do anything to show them bad

Yeah this should be filed under Nutanix, not Dell.
