Do we include the sad souls that took their own lives?

Clearly management is putting profits and their bonus before the health and well-being of its employees. Only chance to change that is to organize a union.

Not surprising. ATW got a surprise inspection from OSHA last year. Shortly after we had an all hands meeting to let us know that the paint hanger was shutting down due to “the hanger being too old and outdated” and then about a month later there’s multiple OSHA citations hanging on the bulletin board. Turns out gulfstream had been bulls!~ting hex-chrome numbers and workers had been over exposed for years. OSHA then moved into maintenance and found technicians had been over exposed for decades and didn’t even have the right tooling to be working with hex-chrome. gulfstream is as corrupt as they come.

Yes two people died from GAC from the coronavirus. We got emails from burns when it happened but he never gave the names.

That is so incredibly sad. What’s really bad is how they handle the situation. One man at our facility came in developed a fever while at work and was told to stay working. Once he left Around 7:30 am he told management again he wasn’t feeling good (Very high fever, extreme coughing) and will be getting tested. Upper management knew by 9 am and HR was telling people not to speak a word to anyone. The entire hangar had contact with this man, not to mention others from different hangars. There were so many immune compromised people exposed. Word got out cause no one wanted to keep it secret. Brought it up to my supervisor and he played stupid. We were given our masks, no gloves, nothing. Our facility had absolutely no disinfecting supplies and the crews were wiping down with watered down kitchen counter spray. CEO sends out an email saying he didn’t test positive and it’s safe to come To work. All of us knew better but continued to push through. No disinfecting or cleaning of most of the incoming aircrafts. Just keep pushing. Then we find out through the worker he tested positive. Everything was contaminated. They eventually closed the hangar down and admitted he tested positive much later. After our “14 day quarantine” which was only 5 days, we were told to come back. But those who didn’t get sent home who had contact with him were made to continue working. Still coming into contact with unclean aircrafts, vendors, and workers. Our vendors were never even notified of c-ap.

Can imagine this is how they handled it in other facilities with outbreaks. No one being told sh–. No protective gear being supplied.
